Pilot plant capacity | waste water contaminant removal

Commercial

Pilot plant capacity

The Virtual Curtain (VC) technology, as exclusively licensed by CSIRO to Virtual Curtain Limited (VCL), is a versatile waste water contaminant removal and stabilisation method which was developed by CSIRO to:

1. encapsulate in a three-dimensional barrier (the “Virtual Curtain”) contaminated groundwater (subsurface setting), and
2. to neutralise and remove a wide range of toxic contaminants from mining waste waters and industrial waste waters (surface setting).

Recently, VCL has designed and commissioned modular and transportable pilot-scale equipment suitable for continuous flow field tests and trials on the suitability of the HT technology for large-scale wastewater remediation and technology implementation.
Equipment available in Australia and China includes:

1. Continuous flow, modular 1 cubic metre per day unit, capable of being transported by hand.

Continuous flow, modular containerised 150 cubic metre per day unit, capable of being lifted by forklift, transported by flatbed truck and onsite operation/management capability.

Continuous flow, modular containerised 150 cubic metre per day unit, capable of being lifted by forklift, transported by flatbed truck and with both remote and onsite operation / management capability.

The modular 1 cubic metre per day unit has been used extensively throughout China and transported by hand via vehicle, train and by aircraft. The modular containerised 150 cubic metre per day unit with onsite operation/  management capability has been used in Hunan Province in China for extended continuous flow trials over periods of several months. The modular containerised 150 cubic metre per day unit with both remote and onsite operation / management capability has been recently commissioned in Australia and is available in Perth for despatch to remote locations in regional Australia or for transport too verse as jurisdictions.
